Holistic Counseling takes into consideration the "whole person" - mind, body, and spirit. What happens in the mind affects the body, and what happens in the body affects the mind. They are not separate from one another - one very much affects the other. The holistic approach to counseling will deal not only with issues related to mind/emotions, but also with diet, exercise and lifestyle choices-- none of which should be considered a separate entity, but each a part of the whole. As appropriate, counseling sessions may incorporate yoga, meditation, reiki and guided visualization; however, each client's individual preferences are always taken into consideration in developing a plan of action to address issues such as stress management, anxiety, depression, assertiveness or self-esteem issues. The goal of Integral Counseling is to guide each individual toward their strengths, skills and talents to create solutions toward wholeness and a calm, peaceful balance.

Everyone can experience joy and meaning in life - no matter what is happening in the world around them. Cultivating self-awareness -- looking within instead of outside of ourselves for direction - is the key to unlocking the vast potential that is already there. Uncovering the creativity, talent and wisdom that already exist inside you, and releasing the old self-sabotaging beliefs that are holding you back will open the door to unlimited opportunities to live life to the fullest.

Anyone who is making or considering a career change, re-entering the work force, or currently feeling "stuck" and wanting to revitalize their career or lifestyle should consider exploring strengths, interests and passions that can help them to discover the work that is a vital source of meaning, purpose and satisfaction. Each of us has a calling that can be expressed through our work.
"Don't ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive." ~Harold Whitman
If you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. Wherever you are - if you are following your bliss, you are enjoying that refreshment, that life within you, all the time." ~ Joseph Campbell (The Power of Myth, 1988, p.113)
